    Just a note to thank everyone at the “ Carlton ” for a most enjoyable stay for our short holiday in Venice – it was even more enjoyable than the previous year and the hotel staff do a fantastic job with such a large turnover in guests each day. My wife and I had decided to make the recent trip our last one to Venice but are now considering returning in 2012.

    We are now back in a colder Norway after a fantastic stay in Venezia – and at your hotel. We feel that we – being at some places and hotels around the world, this is at the top of “our list”. I / we hope that the management of Charlton Hotel Canal Grande will see this e-mail, and hear that because of the best service, smiles, advices and “always there for us – and other customers” – you all did our week-end+ a remembering one. I have already told some friends that if /when they want to take a trip to the “canal city” , we know the place to stay.
    Bonne notte – and we hope to see you another time…
    PS: The pictures of our house was taking 2 month ago – we do not have snow now – maybe some in the shadow side…

    My family & I would like to thank the staff of the Carlton for the amazing service while there March1 until March 7, 2010. Having traveled extensively to many countries I can honestly say that the Carlton was the best experience ever. The rooms were beautiful & very clean, something that makes you feel comfortable & at ease. In all, the entire hotel was immaculate & the decor is beautiful. I will highly recommend anyone coming to Venice to stay & experience this wonderful hotel. We look forward to coming to Venice again in the future & without a doubt will stay at the Carlton again.

    I have been meaning to write to you to express my thankfulness for such a wonderful stay! My birthday was amazing and I truly enjoyed the cake , balloons and the prosecco! This hotel and its staff are first rate and my junior suite with balcony was beautiful and spacioius, with everything we needed to have memorable visit to La Serenissima~ I cannot wait to return, hopefully soon,

    This Hotel is among the best place to stay in Venise , perfect service and in a great location.
    The breakfast Buffet is very efficient and the service again very nice.
    I recomand the room with the view on Grand Canal .
    The bar is a full american bar open late and friendly staff .
    This must be a Nice place to work since the staff never change. it’s a good value.
    They know how to do a very good job in this Hotel without been Snobb like Other wellknown Places .BRAVO and Thank YOU

    What a fab hotel in a good location! 8 of us stayed here for my friends 50th birthday and it was just perfect! The rooms varied in size, shape and price, but all were spotlessly clean and very comfortable! The reception staff were all friendly, patient and informative!
    We asked if it were possible to have a breakfast table set aside for the 9 of us for my friends birthday and they were more than obliging! The table was perfectly set, with candles, champagne glasses and our own attentive waiter bringing coffee and tea!
    Everything around the hotel was within easy walking distance and train station was just opposite!
    We felt welcome and pampered here – I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone!!

    Excellent service, with friendly and professionnal skills. Staff is devoted in satisfying their client. Very well located to the railway and busboats station. Lovely stay in Carlton on the Grand Canal.

    For our Golden Wedding we took the ‘Honeymoon Package’ with flowers, food and wine in our junior suite on arrival. Later there was a long gondola trip and a splendid dinner. The Carlton was not cheap but more than lived up to our expectations, with friendly staff and a superb buffet breakfast. We did not spend much of the day in the hotel but the public rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect – just over the Grand Canal from the rail station, and less than 10 minutes walk from the bus to Treviso airport. One can walk to St Mark’s Square in 30 minutes or take the vaporetto from close to the hotel. We will certainly stay at the hotel again when we return to Venice.

    We stayed 3 nights based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Hotel is very close to the train station – 5 minute walk and also the public ferry. We booked a deluxe double room with grand canal view. We were glad we did as it was great to see the canal and the various traffic that goes up and down. Given all the activity it can get a bit noisy but its quite manageable if you close the windows and shutters. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and good service. Room size whilst not large was fine. We would stay there again.

    we stayed there for a weekend, we booked a junior suite, the room had an elegant classical furniture, with a balcony perfect to have breakfast. the location is perfect, you have the grand canal in front with the possibilty of taken the “vaporetto” just across the next bridge, walk in the city or the bus station to go the airport.

    My friends and I went back to Venice and stayed in this hotel for the second time. The location for us was great as it is just as you enter Venice. This meant we could walk all through the different streets and alley ways to find the main attractions rather than staying right in the middle. We also found that the shops and restaurants were cheaper to! The hotel is very nice and the rooms are extremely clean although ours were on the small side but considering we were only there to sleep, it was great. Most of the staff are very friendly, however there are one or two reception staff who were a tad rude. The breakfast is nice but simple so do not expect the full works. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

    My first visit to Venice the staff at Hotel Carlton were excellent they made my state a one I will never forget.
    The service you could not fault, excellent service from the front counter, dinning room and staff that cleaned our room, also the porters.
    The room was excellent, over looking the Grand Canal with a balcony, inside the room had all you required and done out lovely.
    The location was perfect, opposite the railway station, ferries and water taxis, very convenient. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.
    The best part is waking up in the morning and been able to go out on balcony and view the grand canal. The only problem was the shower over the bath a little bit inconvenient but that would not stop me from staying there again.
    My sister and I stayed for a week but I hope to visit Venice in March 2011 and I will be booking into The Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal with my husband.

    My daughter-in-law and I recently stayed here for four nights and were extremely pleased. The location is perfect–over the bridge a few steps away, and there are the waterbus stop and the train station. The ride to the Rialto is only a short time and distance. Also just over the bridge is a wonderful street filled with shops and restaurants. The buffet breakfast is very diverse–something for every palate. Our room was quiet, fairly spacious, and had a clean modern bath.This was my fifth trip to Venuce and my daughter-in-law’s first–for both the experienced traveler and the novice, we felt the Carlton is a real find!

    I stayed 1 day from 4 to 5 Nov 2010. The room was spacious, classic looking, very clean and the bed was comfortable.

    Location wise, it was just along the Grand canal and across the main station ( Just 3 minutes walk away).Reception/Conceirge and service was very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was very decent with a good choice of bread, buns, croissants,some cured meats, fruits and cereals. They even had some salad with vinaigrette available! ! I booked the hotel through GTA and paid 77euros per night for it .The location and price is unbeatable !

    Un romantico fidanzamento a Venezia
    Ringrazio tutto il personale dell’hotel per la perfetta organizzazione per come sono state organizzate tutte le sorprese per la mia ragazza. Tutto veramente perfetto! Gentilezza del personale,pulizia,camere perfette e in classico stile veneziano fanno di questo albergo un GRANDE ALBERGO! CONSIGLIATISSIMO a tutti coloro che scelgono di trascorrere qualche giorno a Venezia!!

    L’albergo si trova in posizione ideale per chi arriva in auto o in treno. Si presenta come un vero albergo a quattro stelle. Il personale è sempre gentilissimo e molto disponibile ad ogni richiesta degli ospiti. Sia il bar che il ristorante sono all’altezza per soddisfare le esigenze degli avventori. Le camere sono belle in perfetto stile veneziano, ben assestate e pulite. Insomma un posto magnifico, dove non ho mai avuto di che lamentarmi e quindi merita un grazie. Arivederci il prossimo anno.

    E’ la terza volta che staziono in questo magnifico albergo e posso solo dire che come posizione pulizia gentilezza de personale(superlativa) non ho trovato eguali in nessuna parte di Italia e del mondo.Poi parliamo di soldi per quello che offre il costo è onestissimo.
    Grazie particolarmente al personale, veramente cortese e attento ad ogni esigenza dell’ospite. Parlare della posizione mi pare veramente superfluo, basta vedere le foto, stazione a due passi…… e canal grande all’entrata.

    Ottimo hotel da 4 stelle e +, personale al top della professionalità, camere pulite, posizione ideale e romantica. Ho cenato una sera al ristorante dell’Hotel con il pacchetto “romance” – ottimo il servizio e buona la cena……lo consiglio per una cenetta a due a lume di candela!!! Naturalmente tutto questo ha un bel costo……ma siamo a Venezia e ne vale la pena!!!

    Riuscire ad organizzare in un week end, festa di compleanno unita a relax e visita alla citta’ degli innamorati per antonomasia non e’ semplice. Vi ringrazio perché’, grazie alle vostre molteplici combinazioni, si possono organizzare eventi di questo tipo pur avendo sempre poco tempo. Peccato per i pochi giorni a disposizione. You were very kind and made my vacation in Venice unforgettable.     We stayed in the Hotel Carlton on the Gran Canal, late last year (Nov 3) it was only one night.

    One of the good experiences we had, was to find someone like Mr. Enrico during breakfast , he was smiling , checking that everything was ok, in one word making the guests feel very well.

    I wanted to thank all the staff at the Carlton Hotel for making our stay so special. (26th February to 1st March.),

    I have visited Venice many times, this time I brought my mother, (it will probably be the last time she will visit due to poor mobility), We had a wonderful time, the staff were very helpful, especially Claudia on reception, the food was very high standard, and the rooms excellent.

    We had a wonderful stay with you from March 10th to March 12th.
    It was our anniversary on the 11th and staying with you in a nice room overlooking the canal was really very romantic.
    We have to mention the names of two of your staff who were very good, very helpful and a true representation of what ‘Customer Service’ shoud be.They are a great example of people who go ‘above and beyond’ to make guests comfortable. They are Enrico and Dario.
    Please convey our special thanks to them and tell them that we would definitely see them again and also send our friends and family to visit Venice.

    Hola jessica y equipo del hotel, os queremos dar las gracias mi prometida y yo por hacer nuestra estancia en vuestro hotel un “sueño hecho realidad”.

    Lo mejor fue la noche que llegamos, el momento de entrar en la habitación . Lo bien que estaba preparado todo, la luz super romántica , el ramo de flores lilas precioso y la canción plastificada, que mi novia cuando la vio se hecho a llorar. También la nota estaba escrita muy bonita, junto con el vino y los canapés que estaban buenisimos .

    La cena en el restaurante la cupola fue muy bonita y el personal nos trato super bien. Hemos disfrutado mucho de los desayunos del hotel, había de todo y es muy bonito el comedor, bueno todo el hotel empezando por la habitacion que es super bonita, nos creiamos que estabamos en un palacio.

    El viaje en góndola fue inolvidable puesto que le pedi si queria envejecer a mi lado y me dijo que si, la verda fue muy romantico. Vuestra ciudad es muy bonita y romantica. Os estare siempre super agradecido por haber hecho que estos dias hayan sido inolvidables, sobre todo la primera noche, yo le dije a mi novia que nunca lo olvidaria y la verda nunca lo olvidara ni ella ni yo.

    MUCHAS GRACIAS por todo y felicita a todo el equipo del hotel.

    L’occasione m’impone di ringraziare per la gentile ospitalita’ e del tempo preso per parlare di avvenimenti storici del passato.

    Nel contempo sarebbe manchevole se non mi esprimessi a favore del Suo albergo che, benche’ con una stella in meno, riesce ad accogliere allo stesso livello – se non un po’ meglio – di quanto non fanno quelli con le loro stelle allineate come soldatini di piombo. La differenza nasce dall’intuito della Sua patrona che sa scegliere il personale, il gioiello piu’ prezioso per assicurare un futuro sviluppo per un servizio effimero quanto ne sia un albergo in una citta’ dedicata al turismo di oggigiorno.

    Certa che la catena Cori Hotels prosperera’ meglio delle altre con una stella in piu’, di nuovo porgo migliori saluti e ringraziamenti.

    We have just got home and would like to thank all the staff for a delightful 3 days stay. The food for our anniversary dinner was perfect.
    The ladies at the bar made very nice cocktails to round our days off.
    Breakfast gave a wide choice of food all in a very peaceful atmosphere.
    All in all the hotel and staff were perfect and we would recommend you to our friends and we will certainly come back.

    El hotel en general está bien, aunque yo creo que le sobran estrellas. La situación no es mala, justo enfrente a la estación de Santa Lucía cruzando el puente de los Suspiros, pero si lo que se tiene es poco tiempo para conocer Venecia, pilla un poco lejos de San Marco y del Rialto.
    La habitación que nos tocó a nosotros tenía vistas a un patio interior era pequeña y el baño bastante viejo, y eso que el voucher ponía que éramos una pareja de recién casados.
    El capuchino que ponen en el desayuno fantástico, de los mejores que he probado en Italia.
    Mi puntuación para el hotel teniendo en cuenta localización, instalaciones y trato del personal (es lo mejor del hotel y los felicito a todos por ello, son encantadores) es un 6.

    We stayed for 4 nights in Venice as part of our Honeymoon in Italy. We had travelled up from Pisa, then to Florence and then on to Venice. Our Honeymoon was most enjoyable until the last night in Hotel Carlton. We went for dinner and were completly ignored by the waiting staff, we eventually had to leave and had dinner in another location. Our evening was destoryed by this and it ruined the whole week.

      Your honeymoon is one of the most important trips you take, as it’s your first as man and wife. And it is also a big financial and emotional investment. You want it to be perfect. You want to treasure it for the rest of your lives.

      At the Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal we perfectly know that clients on their honeymoon deserve some extra attention since one single disagreeable element can undermine a host of favourable impressions.

      For this reason we are truly sorry to hear how upset you were when you sat down at the seating outside the hotel to have dinner and you felt ignored by the server.

      Our greatest concern is that we never received any complaints about our restaurant personnel: they have often been praised for their amiability, cordiality and experience.

      On the other hand we fully understand your discomfort and we can assure you that we took necessary action to make sure that same inconvenience should not happen to other customers in future.

      Since clients’ satisfaction is our utmost priority we tried to apologise during your stay offering you a complimentary bottle of Italian sparkling wine which was not accepted. As an alternative we proposed you a basket of fruits which was refused as well.

      Still we hope this will not make you forget the pleasant time you spent at our hotel in Venice and we are sure indeed there’s something positive you can say about your experience.

      We are always grateful to our guests for writing to us, even if with some complaint. This too is a way to improve our services and we can assure you that, if you give us the chance, in the future we will do all we can to make amends.

    We have just returned home to the UK after spending three nights at your hotel. It was our first time to Venice and a long awaited visit.

    I felt that I have to write to you to thank you for the hospitality you gave to us at your hotel. The pleasant staff at the reception desk, the gentleman who served us in the afternoon with refreshments whilst we sat outside and also the service provided by the breakfast staff made your hotel the best we have stayed throughout the world.

    Thank you for making our first visit to Venice so memorable – it will certainly not be our last and when we return we shall surely make our reservation with The Carlton and Grand Canal hotel.

    hello i wanted to say what a brillilant weekend we have just had at your hotel and many thanks for the bottle of bubbly you gave us on arrival, it was such a nice surprise and we enjoyed drinking it on the patio area . As ever nothing was too much trouble from all your staff right down to the maids who did our room.People will always complain when things are not right but rarely compliment, i run a coffee shop in england and i know this to be true therefore on my return i just had to thank you .
